Workspaces and Albums

Organize songs with workspaces (where new songs are saved) and albums (collections across workspaces), add covers and descriptions, and manage songs in batches.

Your songs live in My Music. Two kinds of folder organize them, and they do different jobs: a workspace is where a song is saved, and an album is a collection you assemble from any workspace.

Workspaces: where new songs go

Every account starts with My Workspace. The workspace that is open when you generate is the one the new songs are saved in, so open the right workspace before you start a batch of client work or album drafts.

  • Create one from the workspace switcher with New workspace. You can have up to 50.
  • Rename or delete it from the same menu. Deleting a workspace never deletes a song: its songs move to another workspace, and the confirmation tells you where.
  • To move a song later, open the song's menu and choose Move to workspace.

A song belongs to exactly one workspace at a time.

Albums: collections across workspaces

An album gathers songs from any workspace without moving them. The same song can sit in several albums.

  1. Open a song's menu and choose Add to album, then pick an album or New album…. The new album is created with that song in it.
  2. To fill an album in one go, open it and choose Add songs. Songs already in the album are kept only once.
  3. Edit album changes the name and description. The songs stay in the album and in their workspaces.

Album covers

An album can carry its own cover. Upload a JPEG, PNG or WebP image of up to 20 MB; it is center-cropped to a 1536 × 1536 square. You can also choose one of your finished images, or generate new artwork for the album from the cover panel; generating uses credits, and the current cover stays until you pick a replacement.

Managing many songs at once

Manage music works on a batch of loaded songs: move them to a workspace, add them to or remove them from an album, move them to the Trash, or restore them from it. Select the songs, choose the action, then Apply to selected.

Trash and restoring

Move to trash takes a song out of your lists and off any share page. Open Trash to Restore it — it returns to its workspace and albums, and its existing share link works again — or to Delete forever, which cannot be undone.

Private notes

Each song can carry a private note: lyrics ideas, mix notes or a client brief. A note stays in your library and is never shown on a share page.
