Energy and danceability are level and beat-regularity estimates - a mood or happiness score cannot be read from a waveform. ### How is this different from a BPM reading? Beat Finder measures a recurring pulse and reports its estimated rate in BPM. It also lists half-time and double-time candidates, when they fall within the supported tempo range, and reads energy and danceability from the same analysis. ### Can I use the positions to cut video? Use the tempo estimate to plan a regular cut rhythm, then check each cut against the actual recording. The table does not contain per-beat timestamps or a downbeat map. ### What if the track changes tempo? The displayed BPM summarizes recurring timing across the file. For a recording with substantial tempo changes, analyze individual sections rather than treating one average as a complete beat map. ### Does it find the downbeat or just the tempo? Tempo is the reliable part. Where the bar starts depends on the arrangement, so check the first downbeat by ear before you cut to it. ### Will it work on a live take? On a live take the Beat Finder gives an average. A human performance drifts, so treat the number as the center of a range rather than as a grid to quantize to. ### What do I do with the number? Set your project tempo to it before you add anything. Everything you record afterwards lines up, and edits land on musical boundaries. ### Can I use the Beat Finder for commercial projects? Aimusicis does not currently issue a commercial-use license or certificate.
